Configuration and functions
1. Recommended configurations for buying home treadmills
① Motor power: Home treadmills are generally between 1 and 3 HP. If you weigh more than 200 catties, it is recommended to choose at least 2.0 CHP. Remember to check whether the motor is smooth and without deafening noise when running. In addition, the motor logos of many brands are suspected of exaggeration. The focus should be on CHP continuous motor power.
Peak motor power (HP): In fact, it is only the maximum value that the treadmill can reach instantly, not continuous, and has little reference value.
Continuous motor power (CHP): Equivalent to driving force, it refers to the continuous output power of the treadmill, which is the important parameter.
② Running belt: After setting the speed, pay attention to whether the running belt is stable, whether there are interruptions, slippage or deviation from the center, etc.
③Shock absorption ability: No matter how much you say about the shock absorption effect, it is not as good as actually feeling it with your feet. However, it is almost impossible to try all the models you are interested in, so it is recommended that you pay attention to the shock absorption technology used by various brands, especially big brands, which generally have mastered the core technology and will do better in shock absorption configuration.
Speaking of the importance of shock absorption, it can be summarized as: reducing noise to prevent nuisance; reducing impact force, protecting knees and ankles; good running feeling.
However, many treadmills now actually have no shock absorption design, which can only be said to be “pseudo shock absorption”.
2. Function: The function mainly depends on personal needs. I mainly talk about 1 point of view.
You can choose a treadmill with a heart rate test function, which is important for mastering your own exercise status.
