1. Is it okay for children to use treadmills?

Can. In fact, running on a treadmill is a convenient way to exercise. This type of running also requires high physical fitness. Likewise, running on a treadmill has many benefits.

If a 10-year-old child wants to run on a treadmill, he only needs to be able to control the treadmill. Of course, parents must be around to protect the child’s safety.

2. Things to note when using a treadmill for children:

a. Before running on the treadmill, you must warm up stretch, and move your hands, feet, and joints in various parts to avoid injuries while running.

b. You must wear sports shoes when running on the treadmill, preferably special running shoes. Check whether the shoelaces are fastened before running.

Parents should consider this carefully and provide the necessary protection for their children. When running for a long time, pay special attention to the condition of the children’s knee joints and ankle bones to avoid injuries caused by excessive exercise. You can also wear knee pads.

c. Before children run, adults must do the following two things: whether the power socket is intact; whether the safety buckle on the treadmill is clamped to the child’s standards; and whether the motor is running stably.

If the above standard conditions are not met, the child should be stopped from using the treadmill.

Fast running: Run fast on the treadmill, sweating profusely and panting. This kind of running does not last long, and more importantly, it does not consume any fat.

The human body’s energy system has two categories: anaerobic phosphagen and glycolysis, aerobic sugar, and aerobic oxidation of fat.

If the oxygen supply is insufficient during fast running, the body can only provide energy anaerobically, so fat cannot participate in the energy supply. Therefore, only low-intensity exercise can provide aerobic exercise, and fat can be mobilized and consumed as an energy supply.
